Yeah, the review wasn’t that funny. And I agree with the other fans of comic-book movies: they’re meant to be comic-book movies! There’s supposed to be a lot of action, a simple plot, and coincide with the comics. And this movie had all of those! I’m sorry if you didn’t like it, but don’t assume that just because you didn’t like it others shouldn’t or didn’t.

the review got old quick. i’ve seen two reviewers do that so far and so far none of them have stopped a bad joke half way through and proceed to take up an entire review of hulk speak. it’s not funny after a while it’s just annoying.
also i think he’s actually right in spots but i disagree with him in other bits. i dot think the movie was kinda poor but only cause it was basically just one long fight scene that had no great choreography to it. yeah yeah i know hulk smashes and what not but at least give me a reason to care unlike the comic book where it doesn’t matter what his motivation is. It wasn’t the best mavel movie this year. that slot has to go to iron man.

I remember the original show – he was like a one-man, green A-Team.

Comic book movies can’t take themselves too seriously, or they start to get stupid, like certain parts of Spider Man 3.

At work, there’s a girl with really big hair. She was not happy about something and banged a door on her way out of the main room. When she came back in, she had a look on her face that could kill. She has big shoulders, and was wearing a green blouse, and one co-worker whispered “Hulk smash” as she stalked by us.

I don’t think people quite grasp the concept of The Incredible Hulk. He smashes things.. that’s his thing. This movie was never intended to be a box office smash. No one expected this movie to win any awards.

The Incredible Hulk is one of the movies you go to see because it’s just fun to watch. You don’t go to see it for the characters or for the plot, you go to see it because you want to see Hulk Smash.

Regardless, I loved the review.. even though it was long-winded and irrelevant.

i liked the first one. i just watched it again in preparation for the new one. one of the biggest complaints of the first one was the lack action. now the biggest complaint about the new one is too much action. ??? im assuming the people that didnt complain about the first one are complaining about the new one.. and vice versa…

I don’t care what that critic says. Critics are just people who believe their opinion is more important than your average Joe. Do any of the superhero movies actually live up to expectation ? Do you think that perhaps people are overestimating these movies ?

Hulk. Not an academy award nominee style film. Hulk. Not exactly Oscar worthy. Its a movie about the Hulk. Hulk smashes. Kids love Hulk. Adults loved Hulk when they were kids. Now he’s just “The Freakin Hulk”.

I love superhero movies. I get goosebumps when they show an amazing scene. I had goosebumps almost all the way through Transformers.

So yes, I do feel excited about seeing this film. I was never a comic “reader” I tended to just look at the pictures!!

Honestly, I didn’t hate it. It’s the kind of movie that can never be great cinema, so you just have to take it for what it is: a story about a little guy that turns into a big green dude and smashes things.

I saw the film, I thought it wasn’t awful like the first film, just bad, on the sort of level of Fantastic Four. I think if it hadn’t been a superhero movie I might have liked it more… it seemed that the Hulk was just getting in the way of all the psychological drama etc.
And I think I need to change which paper I read… ^_^
