Eww Haribo sandwich... its pretty much gelatin and flavourings, no wonder it tasted bad. It probably all melted away and burnt.
And the starburst looks pretty nasty too.
Percy Pig sandwiches are where it's at ^_^
And Pol, the names in the UK are Snickers and Starburst. I think they changed Opal Fruit to Starburst recently, don't know about Marathon though. I've never heard of it.

Ah the halcyon days of UK sweeties, when they all had different names.

You say Snickers we say Marathon, you say Starburst we say Opal Fruits.

Actually that was pretty much the full extent of the difference.

We used to make these occasionally (full of chocolate chips, jam, marshmallows etc) when I was little as dessert. I don't see what the big deal is though, it's basically the same thing as pie or pasties. On a side note, the authors website is rather annoying (is it necessary to type in HUGE letters?) and rather insulting (frequent references to 'internet fatties'). Considering this was their idea and they made and ate them isn't that a bit of the pot calling the kettle black?
