Random Post on Neatorama

By Alex in Neatorama Exclusives on May 23, 2008 at 4:20 pm

I’ve just installed a pretty neat Random Redirect plug-in for WordPress, written by the WordPress guy himself Matt Mullenweg.

You can now get a random Neatorama post (out of 14,300 posts we have over the years – and counting) by clicking on the "Random" button in the right-hand navigation bar.

Give it a try!

Huh. That should be really useful. I used to just go to a random page to check out random stuff.

Neat. My first random post was the “Pygmy Hippo Baby” one :-)

Should just post random comments, like the posts with famous quotes.

remember the “I’m feeling lucky” option on google in the old days? I once suggested to them this exact idea – that maybe a user would rather get a random selection from their results, just for fun – the button might be called ‘spin the wheel’ or some such – but I thought it would be a great way to explore those billions of pages without knowing where the hell you were going… google said no thanks

Love the feature! It’s a little hard to play with it when the Circuit City pop ups going off over and over and over again…
