Songs of Praise Subtitled by the Hard of Hearing for the Hard of Hearing!

Adam Buxton of the British TV comedy show "Adam and Joe" showed us why you don’t need a Bollywood song for funny song lyrics subtitle.

Here’s one that he did for Songs of Praise ("translations of popular hymns for the hard of hearing, by the hard of hearing"): Hit play or go to Link [YouTube] - Thanks Robert Rezabek!

(Okay, okay, that was just all in good fun. No offense meant and no hate mails, please!)

Bahaha! I remember when my dad used to make me go to church and we had to sing all these hymns. The old ladies would always get right into it and whip out their operatic voices. It was like they considered it some sort of competition to drown out the person next to her. They also seemed to think the warblier their voice was - the BETTER! *shudder*

What’s so funny about that? This is how we sing our hymns every week at the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

“Strings and Balls” = Noodly Appendages and Meatballs!

A chronic case of Lyricosis doesn’t have to mean you can’t enjoy music anymore. Brilliant!

Seemed like something a teenager would have written. Creative, but not in a funny way. More rehashing of a very old joke.

All those years of attending mass, it all makes so much more sense now lyrically, these words seem to fit better, heck, even their mouths appeared to be singing about all the sheep being dead.

LMAO…..This is exactly the reason I quit going to church. I was making up new lyrics in my head a I went along. During the homily I was planning out next week. If there was an after service function I was praying for an “act of god” to befall the congregation. I finally realized….nope…not for me.

    Profane and offensive, really.

I found it pretty boring… partly because I wasn’t sure if they were actually singing those words or not.

To those who are insulted… I pity you.
