This is pretty awesome. I'm planning on having my house built and being riddled with seekrit passageways and such. There will actually be no obvious way to get into the giant library. This just gives me some more fantastic ideas for it.

What idiot would seal off a room rather than fix a mold problem? Mold comes from retained moisture, especially in dark poorly ventilated areas. Closing the room up doesn't fix anything -- those spores can still find a way out. Dumb previous owners.

I thought about doing a hidden door on my old house. But the space would have only been good for a small closet. And I just never got around to doing it.

Sadly, we have the plans and all for our house :*( We did however find some 50 year old newspapers in the wall...with an add for our old kitchen XD which is currently being renovated.

I lived in an apartment in Monroe, Louisiana that has boarded up the third (master) bedroom and an additional bathroom! They did it in such a way that it just looked like the hallway ended. It wasn't until I was outside and saw a light on in a window that was apparently between my apartment and my neighbor's apartment that I realized it was even there... after I'd lived there for over a year! With a flathead screwdriver, I pushed open the wall, and then I rigged up the same wall (which was nothing but painted plywood) to be a door... and then I was paying two-bedroom apartment rent for a three bedroom apartment! Wish I could be so lucky here in Dallas!!

I've had a few dreams where I've bought a house and then found out later that there was an entire hidden floor that was so large and with so many rooms that it was like finding a whole new hidden house.
