Yeah, those are pretty popular in California, I guess. The pizza shop across the street has one, for example.
They need this at every DMV and any other government service office in America.

I once had a tooth pulled and afterwards the dentist jokingly says... "Oops, wrong one".

I believe another word for a dentist AND dental hygienists with a 'sense of humour' might be: Sadist
There's a Mexican restaurant close to me that has a similar sign.

haha, i'm living in Toronto and haven't seen this sign, but I do enjoy other dentist office signage in the city. My favourite is the dentist on Dundas just west of Bathurst who has a neon sign of the mirror that goes your mouth to see the back of your teeth. The door pulls on the door are teeth too.
