That’s amazing. What a lucky girl, or I should say what lucky friends. She must be a really awesome person to inspire so many people like that.

Is this reminiscent of that ‘Thriller’ rendition?

Wow, that reminded me why I hate musicals. Sappy and stupid. Couldn’t finish it.

That reminds me of a similar completely-unlooked-for wonderfully good deed on my part, when I took out the garbage without being asked. The happy tears and thank-you’s were all I needed to think about doing it again some day. IT’S ALL ABOUT MANAGING EXPECTATIONS, PEOPLE.

that looked like so much fun - fantastic.
Very sadly I would also be happy with BoT’s self sacrifice and noble good deed. I NEED TO RAISE MY EXPECTATIONS just a bit -

For some reason I couldn’t play the “.flv” file of the movie in the link in the post, but the link zondran posted in the comment above at Metacafe worked great. If you have a problem with the first one, try that one.
As for Amy:
What would the performance have been like if all of her friends weren’t musical theater professionals? I can just imagine MY FRIENDS trying to perform something like that.

They’re all Stage Actor-Singers. So may be it wasn’t really a “surprise” after all?
She may have been pleasantly entertained, but I wouldn’t say that it was a surprise, ya know wot I mean? -

Wow, a lot of commenters are cynical and/or jaded today it seems. It’s not going to be on Broadway anytime soon but I thought it was a really lovely and creative thing to do for a friend. Congrats to Amy and her hubby and kudos to their friends for having the guts and the thoughtfulness to do such a thing.

I agree with BlessedBlogger. A lot of negativity here for a really nice gesture for a friend. Thought it was sweet.

That was so sweet! theater people are so much fun. And I second (third?) what BlessesBlogger says. How many times do you family and friends get together and arrange a song and dance about how much they love you? It makes an already special day for Amy that much more memorable.

pssht…white people.
It was really nice of them to do though. And before anybody says anything…I’m half-white so I can say it!

First cutesy baby pictures, now sappy wedding videos.
I couldn’t make it past the first few bars - “My best friend is named Amy” - big, fat, hairy, freakin’ deal. -

This is why you leave the wedding planning to your gay best friend.

Is this a rehearsal for a “Big Wedding” type theatre show?
