The The Official Monster Raving Loony Party who you say were formed in 1983,campaigned for the voting age to be 18.
Well oddly the voting agwe had been 18 since 1970.

I was about to be so very sad, if you’d left off the Monster Raving Loony Party from this list - they’re so very delightful! =) I remember taking a trip around Kent a few years back, my host took us past what he claimed was the ‘official headquarter pub of the MRL Party’ - for reasons I no longer remember we didn’t actually go in, but I was quite impressed when I peeked in and saw a large group of people sitting around a table in comical hats - oh, if only -I- could spend all my time hanging out in pubs doing ‘political work’ and wearing funny hats!

Having been to Canada and spent a couple weeks out there, I’m whole heartedly behind this idea. Not like anything else much gets done out there.
I still think we should have sent the penguins to China though.
