		<description>Not to disparage any of these athletes, but status as &quot;hardest race in the world&quot; is highly debatable.  I can name half a dozen ultras off the top of my head which are longer and a couple with worse conditions as well.  The Iditarod Trail Invitational is 350 miles across Alaska on foot in February.  Still, it&#039;s an impressive feat and the conditions are brutal enough for me.</description>
