“No need to have a separate adapter”
Doesn’t this count as a separate adapter?
This isn’t a terribly new/original idea. But I will admit that it is pretty. Pretty expensive!
HA HA I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE ALLISTER!

Neat, but Pricey. In HK they go for about US$6 - and they have the added benefit of working on 220V & 120V lines — the one pictured here is only rated at 100 VAC (or so says the website).

Yeah, you can pick them up around here in Sweden for about $5-6 as well, are you telling me that nothing like that has existed before over there?

I know very little about electronics and I’m pretty sure I could build one of these with a handful of passive components! $47 is completely outrageous.
Although it *does* come in a variety of gawdy colors …

What the F? Are they trying to sell this as something new?
My standard (and extremely popular) Motorola RAZR phone came with one of these, and I doubt it cost Motorola $47 to make it. Oh, and my iPod came with one… in fact, I’m kind of a tech junkie, I bet I have 4-5 of these just laying around the house.
This is just crazy. You can’t introduce products that already exist!

Good god. Apple includes one with the iPhone (and a much better looking one, to boot). When someone is charging more than Apple for an item that doesn’t look as good (a replacement iPhone power-to-USB adapter is $30), there’s a critical step in your plan missing.

The more I think about this, the more dumb it is.
You can buy a powered USB hub ( < $15, available anywhere), and simply not plug in the computer cable, and you’d have the same thing as this except:
1) With more ports (4 or 8 instead of 1)
2) A long power cord, making it easier to place where you want it
3) Much, much cheaperThis product announcement is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of.

$47?????
Also, who decided to stick “19ยข” to the price?
For $47 you could probably buy an entire used computer. Plug it in and have many USB chargers. Or buy a TiVo: USB charger with built in DVR!
I feel sorry for anyone who buys one of these.

I bought something like this at Wal-mart like a year ago. It’s not just a plug but it plugs into the wall and then you can plug your USB stuff into it. And it was only $15. $47 is a rip!

I wouldn’t buy it based on the horrible typo alone. “Begging of May” really?

It looks like a 3 pack for 47.19, which would probably be a conversion from a euro price. They are much SMALLER than the ones that I’ve seen/we sell at our store. Which is cool and all, but you know. Still an idea 4 years too late.
