Ads Using Trees

Nope, that’s not a guy peeing on a tree. It’s a cardboard ad to show the lack of public restrooms in New York City.

I wonder how many cops have tried to arrest that cutout since it was put up?

Interesting tactic. Deforestation is a huge issue. Nice to see that they can use the trees that we still have to send a message.

Where I'm from, no one looks twice if you stop in a gas station or a fast food joint just to use the restroom. I can't imagine being in NY and not having a public restroom within spitting distance.

Doesn't the paint the signs damage the trees? I donated a bequest I got to a group whose goal was to preserve nature. When, several years later, I actually got to go the the building where the charity worked, I noticed that the entire place had hard wood flooring, and taxidermied animals were everywhere. Made me feel like I might have donated to the wrong organization.

Well, I'm sure the floors and the stuffed animals were well-preserved.
