posting ‘first’ is lame. The storm chasers are nature’s paparazzi. The tapes they get of the tornado can be sold for $100,000 or more to major media outlets like CNN and the BBC.

Agreed DanO. I removed it. Algonkin

Are these guys mental? I have a feeling that Joel definitely didn’t want to be there.

These guys seem like amateurs. Not a good thing to have in a line of work like storm-chasing.

But I do have to give them props for the footage.

Great footage. I can’t believe how close they got.

Even if it’s not the smartest move, it looked so cool I can see how they would find it hard to resist. Plus, there weren’t any flying cows, which, from what I saw of Twister, are the true sign of a nasty tornado.

I would like to do that sometime I think it would be fun. My baby sister was born WHILE a tornado was happening. It was a pretty cool time though.

I was in total agreement with the stupid music- way to totally mess up the whole clip.

I grew up with these things and seeing this did exactly what it used to do to me growing up: major rush, ‘I’m-scared-but-can’t-leave-dry-mouth-heart-pounding-wanna-see-it-wher e’s-my-mom’ sort of feeling. I miss them… and I don’t.

The music was unnecessary. I like how they didn’t quite edit out the part where they drove through the stop sign.

I got the feeling Joel was the less stupid of the two.

They did a good job of keeping a safe distance, and were in the right place at the right time. That there is the Holy Grail for a storm chaser.

Agreed; the soundtrack was totally unnecessary.
