The Best Flash Game Ever Made: Quest for the Crown

Posted by Alex in Flash Games on April 7, 2008 at 3:37 pm

The world is full of mundane and uninspired Flash games, so Neatorama editors searched high and low to bring you the best Flash games around.

We look for the right combination of game play, control, and graphic complexity. Out of hundreds of games, we have selected Quest for the Crown, the best Flash game ever made.

Check it out: Original Link [Updated] [Flash Game] - via reddit, thanks for the update vup!

And if that’s not satisfying, here’s the runner up (it was a close decision): Link - Thanks Brett!

Thanks vup - I really hate it when people linkjack stuff. grrr! (Plenty of Neatorama’s articles have been linkjacked, so I know how it feels!)

This one was okay. I still think that “You Have To Burn The Rope” is better.

    Try it here.

Quest for the Crown is like the Rick Roll of “best ever flash games.”

I think the high point for me was the closing song and how ridiculously LONG the credits were!

Actually there is more than meets the eye to this game. Every time you play the game again the number of steps you move is incremented by 1. So it becomes more and more of a challenge to reach the crown each time you replay it. That song in the end by NFG is reward enough for me to keep playing though! It’s interesting that apparently the product planner was a bear they saw and cinematics 1st and 2nd directors were respectively Martin Scorcesi and Alan Smithee. Haha.
