Mustang Skintight Stretchjeans

Apparently, this Stretchtight Skinjean craze is sweeping the more rural parts of Nordic country; taking Norway and Sweden by storm. People claim to own upwards of 50 – 60 pairs of these oh-so hot pants, and there’s quite a dedicated fan community who all apparently own video cameras and have a predilection for filming themselves standing around and slapping their own buttocks.

Perhaps I’m just strange, but the most striking thing in all of the videos listed is just how tiny these peoples’ calves are. They’re minuscule. Bird-legged, in fact. Maybe that’s just me. (Thanks, Liss, for the heads-up on the jeans)

    The male hipsters in my area are very into the bony legs + skin tight jeans fashion. The boys wear ladies jeans. It looks so incredibly awful. Please don't do that.

    How is it that the rest of the world is ahead of America in almost every way but always seems to be 10-20 years behind us in fashion and music? It boggles the mind. I foresee a lot of camel toes in their future, not a pretty site.

    Stretch denim is an abomination.

    To use that awful phrase, back in the day, well, back in the day when there was considerably less of me than there is now, my skintight jeans were just that - normal jeans, rendered skintight by artful tailoring, thanks to my tailoress partner of the time (yes, it was the 80's...).

    Jeans du jour were inevitably Levi's - later on I discovered ShrinkToFit 501's, which had the instructions to buy them two sizes too big and let them shrink down, advice reserved for pussies basically. I'd buy 'em in my normal size, shrink 'em on in the bath and circulatory problems be damned.

    And now..?

    Well, I have yet to be a father...

    This is a popular trend in so cal with the manorexic emo boys. The weird thing is that the superlow skinny jeans are in fashion with the boys while all of the designer womens' jeans are coming out with wide-legs and high waists

    Stretch jeans have been around for a while... very popular style in late 70s with the punk rockers... as far as I knew, only punks and skinheads wore them. I guess now they're becoming popular for "normal" people too?

    Physiologically, it is bad for the testes to be drawn so close to the body. The higher temperatures of the body lower sperm count. I wonder if these men know that their jeans could lead to oligospermia...

    They are called Mustang Skinlines, a German line of fashion. They are not leggings, but made of real denim. This one guy I know of, likes to take pictures of himself in the shower, wearing his jeans...

    Here in Miami we just call them skinny jeans... Emo kids wear them. You go to a rock concert and they're EVERYWHERE.

    Sorry to break the news, but this has been the style du jour in the trendy parts of Seattle for about 6 months now. On skinny men, skinny women, and women whose 'frenemies' assure them that it doesn't make their thighs look big *at all*.

    My libido really misses having male-butts-in-male-pants to stare at. :(
