Plastic Bag Animal Street Art

Posted by Alex in Arts & Crafts, Pictures on March 30, 2008 at 7:07 pm

Found at Wooster Collective: this creative (and non-destructive) street art by a mysterious artist who makes animals out of discarded plastic bags and ties them to subway grates. When the train rushes below, the puff of air makes the animal jump to life!

Looks familiar? Maybe it’s because you’ve seen this post before on Neatorama: Shopping Bag + Subway Grate = Art?

Update 3/30/08: It’s “Air Bear” by Joshua Allen Harris – via Super Punch

Pretty neat, but wouldn't it be better to throw the trash away?

This is clearly a hoax device.

The perpetrators should be found and held responsible for these terrorist actions.

Very cute, but it looks sad, I'd want to pick it up, take it home and attach it to a fan all day.
