Iron Maiden's Flying Tour Bus: Boeing 757 Named Ed Force One!

Many travel bands go by bus, but not Iron Maiden ... they have their very own flying tour bus: a Boeing 757 named "Ed Force One", piloted by the band's frontman Bruce Dickinson. And yes, that's Eddie the band's mascot on the plane's tail.

LOL...I played with a band who did that...bought a plane...played a world tour...got home...and the plane had eaten up such a HUGE amount money that they basically they broke even. Thank god I was a lowly musician...I still got paid.

Actually, the plane doesn't belong to Iron Maiden but to Astraeus, the UK charter company for which Bruce Dickinson works, as it were, part-time (as a Captain). It's on loan to IM for the tour, and was repainted for the purpose.
