That’s the game of Risk! It looks different but it’s definitly the same. Risk is a board game with the 7 continents and each player is a different color and chooses different countries to conquer. Then you have to try and conquer the other neighboring countries by rolling dice with the higher numbers winning. Then you take over the world. Pretty cool.

One tip is to keep ending your turn after you’ve gotten a few spaces - maximize all of your dice on each square - and then start attacking the other guys

That’s what I usually do - but idk 80% of the time you have to fight off the other guys for awhile before your dice max out…

It’s similar to Risk, but there are some important distinctions that make it different — the main one being that you don’t choose where your reinforcements go.

There’s a multiplayer version that was inspired by Dice Wars: KDice

The number of reenforcements is based on the number of contiguous spaces you have

Seems to me like the game sways greatly in the favor of whoever goes first. I have won every time I went first, and lost every time I didn’t.

Maybe multiplayer won’t be as lame.

Tom - the more opponents you play in a game, the less that will be the case. I usually play 8, although if you do go that high you’ll need to accept the occasional misfortune of being killed before you even get a chance to move.

Interesting… I’ve always found I do better when there are more opponents. I got slaughtered on 2-player mode, then I switched to 7-player and I won.

A, Risk! Nice game, good buildup until you have the Mother of All Battles where one of the player gets an unbeatable advantage. Pretty fun though.

    Sparge,

Yeah, I started playing with 5, and had a great game, lasted almost two hours.

    I won. :)

I’ve never played Risk, so I didn’t realize the similarities. ;)

The trick, at least for me, is to make sure that you have a lot of dice in the areas that border your enemies. Once you do this, then attack the areas that have a lot of dice, but less than yours (don’t bother attacking the onesies and twosies, those can’t possibly beat your dice-maxed areas).

Once you have a lot of dice-maxed areas, then attack with abandon, but only do so knowing that the reinforcements will always “refill” the areas to maximum levels. Works for all player modes.
