Its little heart was beating so fast he was in a panic coma like state and on the verge of a heart attack. That guy should have made the dog go away so the bird had a chance to calm down. Trying not to be too preachy here, but, people who leave their domestic pets out unsupervised (re: cats) run the risk of being hit by cars, attacked by other animals, attacking other animals, and contracting/spreading all sorts of diseases - some possibly fatal. I am glad the bird wasn't hurt, and I agree, that was a very well-trained dog, but, the laughter when the cat came to get the bird was a bit disturbing.
