I guess we didn't like our position at top of the food chain.

Geeze, is tiger-mom submitting to that liger? Eh I guess I would if my own kid was triple the size! They looks all sorts of awesome though.

They have a Liger at King Richard's Faire in Carver during the fall named Hercules, and he's young and about 11 feet tall when reaching for food. I always want to ride him.

From Big Cat rescue page on Ligers-
*These cats suffer from many birth defects and usually die young. Because ligers are usually larger than either parent, it also puts the tigress at great risk in carrying the young and may require C-section deliveries or kill her in the process. When the public quits paying to see these unfortunate creatures, the evil people responsible for breeding them will stop this inhumane practice.
I'm not sure if this is an extreme crazy persons view, or if they had a valid point- but now I am sad to see Ligers.

Yes ligers and tigons are sterile and usually die prematurely. It's inhumane to create these creatures just for entertainment.

However, I would pay top dollar to see a ligon fight two male lions, or one gigantic elephant.

I've heard that ligers are very gentle and docile. Not sure if that's true but watching that video, I wouldn't doubt it.
That thing looks like a horse though. I love it!
I don't think they should be bred purely for entertainment purposes though. That's a bit wrong.

Should be bred for riding! Imagine how badass you would look.

    Napoleon Dynamite: A liger.
    Deb: What's a liger?
Napoleon Dynamite: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic

the ligers is not intentionally created or made by artificial insemination or whatsoever, it is pure accident, thus came the liger. plus there are also the puma+leopard = pumapard - although this oone i didnt know the detail. liger r very cute n large. it's level of intelligence is higher than both it's parents.

although, the one that deliberately bred is..up to each person to judge. me, i like them, they are cute. but it is better if they are better took care of n not deliberately only for the excitement+sake of experimenting.
