(Live Leak link)

A zoo in Rockton, Ontario has found that elephants have fun playing in the snow. Cheetahs, on the other hand, aren’t so excited. Link -via Arbroath

That is so awesome. You always wonder about how animals would react in other animals' environments, it's really neat to see this video.
I love how you can practically see the expletives running through the cheetahs mind.

Dang, I wanted to hear the spokeswoman say "ya you betcha" with her nice canuck accent.

Um, dude, "ya you betcha" is from North Dakota, not Canada. At least that's what I learned from watching Fargo.

Yeah, and I'm sure the whip that the trainer is carrying has nothing to do with the elephant's crowd-pleasing behavior...

it is cruel to keep elephants in an environment cold enough to produce snow.
they did look like they were enjoying themselves on the video, however...

Zoos are cruel!! Fortunately some aren't afraid to expose them for their cruelty!!

Her accent was very Fargo - not so much Canadian - maybe she comes from the Prairies.

I grew up not far from there and I can maybe hear an ever so slight accent. If anything, it sound more Northern Ontario.

I live about 10 min from the african lion safari, its far from a zoo. the heated units are HUGE and the fields where the animals are let loose all except extreme clod are also quite vast. it has a campground as well so you can camp nearby see some free flying birds and hear the lions roar in the morning. its closer to a preserve than a zoo on all accounts.
