I hate to be the perpetual critic here, because I love this site so much and I appreciate the effort. But the problem with this type of post is that it is not unique or novel news; every media outlet in the country is on top of this story. I’d guess that most Neatorama visitors enjoy the site when we want to take a break from mainstream news. I think the NYTimes and Drudgereport pretty much have a lock on political scandals.

    Just my two cents.

Roger is right. I don’t understand why stuff like this keeps popping up on Neatorama. I hardly find news about death, dying, corruption and scandal Neat.

I enjoy this site for the wierd and obscure items not seen in daily news. If I want to see news article I’ll stick to Yahoo or something…

Guys, complaints were to be made in the last post “suggestion box”! :p

For me, even if it’s all over the news, the irony is neat. The hourly price too. Even more than our firm auditors!

It may be all over mainstream news, but this is worthy of a mention. The guy was after all building a resume fit to be president one day.

@Allan, still fit for President, let’s look at his resume: secrecy, big money, criminality, corruption, and sex; he’s got it all (except hair)!

Yeah but who are Clients 1 to 8?

My guess on the first 3:
    1-Osama bin Laided
    2-Hilary
    3-John Howard

    ….

The neat thing about this news event is that Spitzer has always been extremely arrogant and liked to bill himself as a crusader against corruption and crime (including prostitution rings). He built his political career on his experience as a law and order prosecutor and ultimately state Attorney General. An ordinary politican caught up in a sex scandal is not nearly so neat. Sucks for his family, though.

I think you mean ‘extensive’ as in far reaching rather than ‘expensive’ as in costly, although it certainly will be an expensive mistake for his career.

I love the funnier side of NY politics! Of course, if it comes down to humor, NJ’s former governor still beat us…

Spitzer has done much more to trample civil liberties than Bush ever could. This is a well-deserved fall.

    And it’s funny, too.
