   I hate to say the obvious but, cats should be kept indoors to avoid such tragedies.

   Obviously it was the cardiac health benefits of cat ownership that gave Ms Butterworth the strength to punch out a python.

   Ok- if snakey had smooshed one kitty, wouldn’t you decide kitty number two should stay inside.
   What is with all these dumb pet owners lately in Australia letting their little darlings get swallowed by Pythons? I let my cats outside, but as a calculated risk taking into account how fast the cars go on my road, how close the coyotes will come, and how far the cats will wander, how much my neighbors hate cats etc… But if one of them were killed, pretty sure the others would not get to go out for a very long time.
   Wasn’t it last week some Aussie’s Chihuaua sized dog was eaten by a python in front of the kids?
