One-legged Chicken Receives Cancer Treatment

Posted by Miss Cellania in Animal on March 6, 2008 at 9:39 am

150_petchickenEve, a hen in Worcestershire, had a leg amputated 18 months ago due to cancer. Now she has undergone surgery to remove a tumor from her remaining leg, at a cost of over £1,000. Owner Elaine Denney said money is not an issue.

“I wouldn’t put Eve through it if I didn’t think she still would have quality of life and if I thought she would suffer too much during the treatment.”

Quality of life ... for a chicken? wtf?

    It's just an effing chicken!

Have it for dinner and go buy another one.

"Owner Elaine Denney said money is not an issue."

Obviously not. Brains (or the lack there of) is the issue.

    It's just a chicken.

I'd hazard a guess the owner has no problem eating the unborn young of this cancerous fowl.

Hmmm cancerous tumor doesn't sound too delicious...

That's probably why she wants to get it into ship-shape, so it'll make a better meal!
