I'm from the Hudson Valley and you can see it from all of the spots overlooking the river. I moved from home a few years ago, but it's still my favorite site. Never actually been there since it's sinking (hence the little tourism and hardhats), but it's such a gorgeous site, sitting in the middle of the river between two mountains! Sorry, got nostalgic.... Got to do a little basic poking around but time kept us from any serious trespassing. Much to my great chagrin! It's an amazing artifact in a beautiful part of the country. Winchester House is one of those mythical buildings that one always wants to visit. I loved Natirar, the former Kate Macy Ladd Home and former home of the King of Morocco.
