Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.

And yet, all three religions under the umbrella of Biblical monotheism still continue to slaughter each other and fight over land, teachings, and more.
They are useless creatures just like the useless creature they worship who continues to do NOTHING in response to their fighting in his name.
Screw them and their violence, and screw their violent, jealous god who demanded the slaughter of animals. Some people still slaughter animals in his name today, those people being some of the fools of Islam.
A violent god with violent followers, fuck em both and pass more laws against them so they shut the fuck up, let them howl in prison about their invisible creator while bubba puts a Jesus wig on them and bounces them off his happy stick.

They made Jesus looks like an evil wizard.. Are you sure that isn’t a screen cap from Lord of the Rings?

I don’t get why more people aren’t Muslims… They believe in Jesus - they know he was a prophet. I don’t think anyone really believes he was a human god anyway…

Maybe this one will get better reviews than Mel Gibson’s. Haven’t we had ENOUGH Jesus movies? The guy’s been dead a while, now.

a Jesus - I mirror your sentiments.
on a related note, did you note a noted Columbia University Professor found some alleged lost scripture that described Jesus as a gay hebephile/child molester (a person who likes/touches young post-pubescent boys).
If you’re interested, google “Was Jesus Gay” and you will find tons of articles on it. Of course, the church would rather that info not be found, so those scriptures are censored/lost.

Wait a minute… I thought Islam forbade images of prophets. Isn’t that what all the cartoon hubbub was about?
Or does Jesus not rank high enough on the prophet scale to worry about?

Historical sources indicate that Jesus was crucified.
Muslims believe that Jesus was a minor prophet, in a line of minor prophets culminating in the final prophet. Muhammed at least had enough sense to tell everybody, “I am the last prophet. There will be no more after me.”

It’d be funny to see an atheist movie about the life of Jesus come out, and it would be 90 minutes of Jews and Romans just walking around. It wouldn’t do very well, but it’d be quite amusing to read about in the papers.

But was the whole idea of Jesus’ mission to Earth to die painfully to save us from sin and heal the damaged link between God and humans?
“I thought Islam forbade images of prophets”
As far as I know, they forbid images of Muhammad anyway,
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Siyer-i_Nebi_151b.j pg
Hence the fire/blur around his face & head. And they do consider Jesus a prophet, if it was me, I’d never, ever, ever, EVER, make a film based on a religion apart from my own. If I made a film based on Muhammad’s life, odds are I’d get a devout Muslim on my back trying out a jihad, but isn’t it the same in all religions? There are bad people and good people the world around, not matter what your religion, that’s what God wants us to realise. Christianity is not better than Islam, neither is Islam better than Christianity, nor any other religion.
Many Muslims come from poor backgrounds, and may not see how hyopcritical this is, and instead believe in the promise of the after life, using that to justify their actions. As Ghandi, stated, people use their religions to try to justify the anger and hate inside of themsleves, the exact opposite of what religions teach -love one another.
As for Jesus being gay - not true, the bible is actually against homosexuality (not that I neccessarily am) these ideas come and go by people too insecure to realise their truth and mature their faith. What happened to the last one about Jesus marrying and having children with Mary Magdelane?
Overall, I’m against a film created by a Muslim, depicting things which go against the Bible, as it is hypocritical.
“Treat others as you would like to be treated”
I’m sure he wouldn’t like it if I went against the Q’ran. -

Charles, you’re free to think whatever you like because Jesus’s mere existence is debatable.
And Darragh, the reason why there are 20,000 different brands of Christianity is because they all can’t decide on the ‘right’ interpretation of the Bible. Don’t speak for all Christians with your interpretation and say the bible is against homosexuality; I know plenty of Christians who would refute that.
Heck, if you do the math according to the lineages, the Earth is 6000+ yo. Um, off by a few billion years, perhaps? LOL

“They are useless creatures…”
“Screw them…”
“A violent god with violent followers, fuck em both and pass more laws against them so they shut the fuck up, let them howl in prison about their invisible creator while bubba puts a Jesus wig on them and bounces them off his happy stick…”You’re nothing but a bigot.
“Of course, the church would rather that info not be found, so those scriptures are censored/lost.”
Any writings that completely contradict other scriptures weren’t included in the Bible for a reason, genius. You and your new best Internet friend are living proof that any idiot can write… does this mean that any idiot’s ramblings from that time period should be included in the scriptures?
“Don’t speak for all Christians with your interpretation and say the bible is against homosexuality; I know plenty of Christians who would refute that.”
Leviticus 20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
So how, exactly, do you “interpret” that?

Uh-oh… here we go.
The Old Testament pretty much prescribes death for a number of things we would consider lame today. As for the Leviticus passage, the phrase “lie with another man as with a woman” could be interpreted as referring to only one type of sexual congress - anal intercourse. That could mean that oral sex with another man is fine.
The story of Onan indicates that God also hates pulling out before ejaculation - don’t spill your seed upon the ground, but make babies instead. But how many Christians have masturbated or practised birth control?
The “homosexual” gospels are mostly mashups of previous gospel versions - borrowing a little from here and a little from there.
I like how someone said Jesus never existed. Whether you think he’s divine or not, he did exist, and he was executed by the Romans.

@ Man or Monster, take a deep breath and relax. A good christian wouldn’t resort to name-calling, would they? As ted just mentioned, there are multiple interpretations of the poetry in the bible. For you, I believe your Christian interpretations are your vehicle for discrimination.
Now, you can call me a genius, or an idiot. But to call a scholar/Professor from Columbia U. an idiot is inaccurate. He found exact scripture that suggested Jesus liked to have sex with boys.
and to ted. Yes, I don’t think Jesus was devine, nor do I think he ever existed. There is no definitive proof he did. Just because several people claimed he lived does not equate proof. There are tons of people who share hallucinations, delusions and fallacies - look at most Christians. They believe in some sky-fairy who passes judgment on people - as if… we all know it’s the Flying Spaghetti Monster who touches us with his noodly appendage.
I like this quote:
“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
