I can picture him travelling back in time to utter those words on the deck of the battleship USS Missouri right after the World War II surrender ceremonies have wrapped up.

Those examples were pretty lousy.
The verbiage that accompanied them was excessive. Someone tell Ken Jennings to go off somewhere and quietly enjoy his game show winnings. -
