The Terror Threat Color System is useful because it lets me know when some big potential scandal or clusterfeck is going to be emerging soon.
It is also useful because it lets me know when it’s going to take additional time to commute into NYC, or when I should add three hours to boarding a flight.

For well over thirty years some knucklehead somewhere has been threatening to blow our asses up. In view of the limited success they have had I am not distracted or overly worried.
What bothers me is the difficulty our government has in balancing freedom against security. Our ‘leaders’ are not very good at this.
This is why I don’t follow them.
