14 Uses for Orphan Socks

150sockPlanetgreen has a list of 14 things you can do with “orphaned” socks, i.e. socks that have no mate. Many of these ideas have links to instructions, such as these puppets from Treehugger. But be warned: if my experience is any indication, doing any of these things will cause the sock’s mate to finally show up. Link -via Lifehacker

Ha ha! That always happens to me. It's like the pair of socks had a fight and when one sees the other has since moved on, it comes back.

I make dog toys with them... For one reason or another, my black lab puppy loves the smell of my old socks... Poor thing...

I filled one with rice (okay... my wife did it) and microwaved it for about a minute. It made a great heating pad you can use over and over again.

    #15 - wear them.

Most people will not notice - those that do need to be watched very very closely to see if they exhibit other abnormal obsessions with your feet.
