   Are you sure it says "Day"? I think the "D" may be a "G" and then it all somehow makes sense. Looks like a cake to celebrate a coming out.

   The shape here is because this is what's known as a "cupcake cake," and is made out of a dozen cupcakes frosted to look like a cake.

   No, it's more like an L than a D or G.

   I think it's to celebrate prom night.
