Being in business myself, it is clear to me that the cards I remember the most are the creative and clever ones. Therefore I remember the people who gave them to me more vividly. Good idea in my opinion.

VonSkippy, I beg to differ. Of course they're a simple way of conveying your info, but at the same time they can act like a mini-portfolio if done correctly, something to awaken interest in going to a perticular site for instance.

If you have cards which you hand out at social or business gatherings then obviously you can speak for yourself and the card shouldn't have to, the simplest of cards work quite well. If you send out cards with applications, demos, leave them in various places (etc) it's far more important to have an eye catcher that draws people in.

So in the end, it all depends on what you're going to use them for.

It's far better if you annoy people by writing your information on things they need like their wallets or permanent marker their arm. I wouldn't do it...anymore...ha ha!

What's even more annoying are those crazy church people who leave bumper stickers of their religion on the back of your car...man that gets a lot of angry visitors on Sunday...

Only "art" people fail to realize that business cards are nothing more then a SIMPLE means of conveying contact info. I love tossing all the non-OCR-scannable (and expensive) biz cards I receive in the bin, never to be thought of again.
