The Truth About Blog Comments

Found at Lee's things, where you should go to and leave a little comment love: Link

LOL! This is genius and so very true. I used to have a blog that I used to keep in contact with friends and family until I noticed people started to promote my writings and I'd get no love or props for it. :(

However, I am thinking of starting another blog just for my short story writings.

Isn't this what pingbacks are supposed to be for? Unless another blog is just ripping off your post text wholesale (which hasn't ever happened on mine except for the usual spambots) you should be seeing incoming posts to your Blog on your stats page anyway. If you don't have that, Technorati and Google Blog Search do a pretty good job of showing incoming links as well.

It's strange how word of mouth spreads and sometimes the creator doesn't know it. But when it's good, it will catch on even with out flashy ads or gimmicks. Hopefully not to the point over overload!
