Panorama of Mars

Posted by Alex in Science & Tech on February 2, 2008 at 6:16 am

The panorama guy (that’s what I call him) Jeffrey Martin of 360cities made something so wonderful it’s literally out-of-this-world: a fully spherical, interactive view from inside the Victoria Crater in Mars, from photos taken by the Mars rover Opportunity.

Link [Flash 9/Quicktime]- Thanks Jeffrey!

The little humanoid of Mars is nowhere to be seen, though.

I hate how nasa edits nearly every photo that comes from mars. Mars is not that red.

Every time I see a picture from Mars it reminds me of Palm Springs.

I have to wonder how it'll look like when another Space Agency sends a robot there and takes pictures. Not best to trust one agency to provide information...much like the news.

The sundial is what proves all photos are edited.
