Here in north west Georgia, my water bill jumped from 15 to 25 per month for two people. Everyone's bill went up like that.

Finally! My chance to sound off. I live in Toronto, and this trendy water conservation fad has annoyed me for some years.
At the end of my street there is a lake. It's a very big lake. Why, you might even call it a great lake. And if there is not enough water in this one, there are 4 more backed up behind it!
We got lots o' water.

This is a classic example of ignoring the market in favor of hairbrained schemes. the consumer always ends up paying.

Hmmm, the city wants all its citizens to make do with less in order to save on water. Why not apply the same concept to the government with money?

As a Torontonian you can't believe how pissed off we got when we heard about this. They did the same thing when they boosted our heating/energy bills because so many of us began to conserve our usage due to a successful environmental campaign.
