    I read about this a few days ago and it -still- weirds me out - I know this is morbid and I know the chances of it happening are infinitesimally slim, but every time I hear about this satellite plummeting towards earth I can’t help but wonder if one of us reading about it today might be the person it lands on tomorrow … and somehow the fact that Homeland Security is one the case doesn’t exactly reassure me …

    Remember everybody - duck and cover! ;)

    This is just the sort of thing that triggers zombie attacks. Space viruses and whatnot. Stock up on supplies, people.

    If I was Maggie O’Connell’s boyfriend, I’d be worried.

    Wonder if there’s a connection to: Beijing secretly fires lasers to disable US satellites.

    I think a zombie attack is imminent. Time to dust off the old crow bar.

    Sounds like President Ryan might need to send John Clark and the Rainbow Team out on a mission to recover it.

    @VonSkippy: LOL!

    Maggie O’Connell - a character on the canceled TV series Northern Exposure. All of her boyfriends met with strange deaths.

    One of them, Rick, got nailed by a satellite. I think they pretty much had to bury it with him.

    I love this:
    “The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information is classified as secret.”
    Ummm…I guess that means the information about his identity is secret?? Sure can’t be the Secret info he just gave out about the satellite!

    Very interesting link, Rose. Thanks.

    And yes, estapler, he does look like General Hammond.
