Unless your house is *loaded* with dumb vermin, the cat is only going to eat what you feed it -- it's not like it's going to pick your pocket, hop in the car, and drive to market or order pizzas on the sly. Granted, limiting food intake gets harder if you've got multiple cats and they aren't all fat ... some of these critters are major loads, though. T'ain't healthy for them and all.
