Fully Flared is the name of the full length Lakai skateboard video. The clip you’re showcasing is the beginning of the video. There’s already more to see! Go buy it. It’s great.

You might also enjoy the intro to ‘Yeah Right’, a Girl Skateboards video:

Lakai is basically part of Girl Skateboards. Both videos were directed by Ty Evans and Spike Jonze (and on ‘Fully Flared’ Cory Weincheque).

Neat. The only question I have is : FX or no FX?
By looking at the body damage they sustain in the website videos, I would say no FX…

Was I the only person who appreciated it on an intellectual level, but got bored at 2:30?

I can think of better places in that vieo for explosions and pyrotechniques than where they were placed.

@Edward, I was at about 30 seconds. I thought to myself as it started “are they trying to make skateboarding look poetic and epic?” then “yup… *sigh*”.

NOT mesmerizing, and only ‘artful’ in the most pedestrian way.

Lets do the same thing with football (slow-mo + music); that would be unique and fun to watch and convince me that Footbal is epic and nobel too. Oh WAIT they arely did that many times and it didn’t!

All you haters can bite it.

@ rdubs … It looked like Tim to me.

Can’t believe nobodys asking what the music is!

M83 - “Lower Your Eyelids to Die with the Sun” … off of the album “Before The Dawn Heals Us”
