Exceptionally beautiful! : ) But I would have to say, BIC pens are one of my favorite tools for doodling as well (hate pencils), since they don’t really smudge, possible intensity variation of the line, shading… compared to inky gel or fineliner pens at least.

Those are nice looking alright. A little TOO nice looking and TOO photorealistic. Kinda makes me wonder if he does them by projecting the photo onto the canvas and tracing them (simplified explanation, but I think you know what I mean). The third one especially looks like a photo with some sort of photoshop filter applied to it.

@Googamooga
I do think he does that because it would be a lot simpler and would be more fun to do!

It would be a lot simpler to trace stuff, yes. That’s why they do it in kindergarten.
It was impressive at first, but I prefer to see talent for drawing over talent for tracing.

Even though free-drawing would be more impressive than tracing, you can’t exactly trace shadows and have them come out like that, and those are some pretty subtle shadows on the skin.

What a bunch of no-talent jealous people! They aren’t traced, they’re HAND DRAWN. All you have to do is look with your eyes, not with what you think are your clever deductions.

What Pam said. This is absolutely astonishing. Tracing would be the method that some of us less talented people would use, I suppose, not him. Or that pic of him drawing one in the main page is some Photoshop too?

This reminds me of that episode of Doug, when Roger Klotz reveals that he drew a picture (with about 10 different colors) using only a blue pen.

It does look just like a photo. But why? Any camera can do photorealistic.

Who knows? This could very well be hand-drawn.
It’s a shame that the pictures themselves look like crappy camera phone photos taken by a bunch of stoned teenagers.
