Trivia: Food that are Toxic to Parrots

Chocolate, coffee, onions and avocados are highly toxic to parrots and can be fatal.

My day would not have been complete without this earth-shaking information. I've cancelled plans to get a parrot as a result.

Avocados are only theorized to be poisonous to parrots - and not all kinds. Most believe it's the nut, close to laetril (sic) in peaches. The main problem is the cooking method...if you burn your teflon pot or pan, say goodbye to Paulie within 2 minutes.

i have just inherited a nanday conure parrot, i have a baytree and would love to know if it is poisonous to a parrot, nobody seems to know, please help.
