My day would not have been complete without this earth-shaking information. I’ve cancelled plans to get a parrot as a result.

Avocados are only theorized to be poisonous to parrots – and not all kinds. Most believe it’s the nut, close to laetril (sic) in peaches. The main problem is the cooking method…if you burn your teflon pot or pan, say goodbye to Paulie within 2 minutes.

You forgot apple seeds. The cyanide in them isn’t enough to kill a human(you’d have to eat a LOT of them), but parrots are much smaller, and thus only need to eat about 5-7, I think.

i have just inherited a nanday conure parrot, i have a baytree and would love to know if it is poisonous to a parrot, nobody seems to know, please help.
