The "divine intervention" one wasn't so much about an actual divine intervention, but about what might happen if religious zealots obtain access to really powerful weaponry. Hopefully, these weren't listed in order of likelihood, since alien attack was above ecosystem collapse. The Omega Point was flaky.

Basically saying that although there is zero scientific support for the the theory, it has "credibility" because a lot of people believe it. A lot of people also used to believe that the Sun rotated around the Earth... that didn't make it true.
