Eighty Eight-Year-Old Man’s First Ballet Performance

Posted by Alex in Sports on January 18, 2008 at 4:19 am

Nine years ago, John Lowe of Witchford, England, took up ballet after watching his daugher became a professional dancer. He’s now set to star in his first ballet show at the age of 88!

The retired teacher said: "It’s a wonderful thing to do and I can’t understand why more men don’t do it."

There is something very wrong about an old man in tights!

If by “wrong” you mean “hot” I totally see what you’re saying.

“It’s a wonderful thing to do and I can’t understand why more men don’t do it.”

The reason why more men don’t do it is because… it’s ballet.

This is just great! I can only hope that his critics will have that much health and energy when they are John’s age. Good on ya John. Vickie
