Beethoven's 9th Symphony, the Stuffed Octopus Version

Miss Cellania posted a clip of HP ad featuring office workers playing Mozart with coffee cups and whatnot. Well, that was neat, but it couldn't possibly compare to Beethoven's Ode to Joy (Symphony No. 9) played with ... a stuffed octopus!

Damn, the dude in the video could be my twin. Go here to see for yourself, http://outhouserag.typepad.com/outhouserag/2008/01/this-guy-could.html

If you know this guy please have him get in touch with me. Thanks

Cute! I remember baby-sitting a kid who had a doll that could play five notes when squeezed (one for each limb, and one in the tummy), and I would play the opening measures of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" on it, as well as the opening of a Domenico Scarlatti keyboard sonata. The range is not sufficient for "Twinkle, Twinkle," but you can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on it too.

Ode to Joy is pretty simple to play, because it moves in whole tones most of the time. Another one you can play on most things is A la Clair de Lune (the nursery rhyme, not the Debussey piece) or Oh When the Saints.
Also, you can kind of play Starman from Mario, but to be honest it doesn't sound that good (its pretty much TWO CHORDS).

Bruce: good thing you found your long-lost twin before you accidentally married him (like those kids in Britain). Although, with skills like this, perhaps you'd be better off if he stayed long-lost.

Dude needs better rhythm.
