I’ve had a nose around this and it really looks closer to an urban legend than reality:

As has been said this seems more like a lesson in the way media work (and why we should be suspicious of them) than a story about unfortunate twins.

Well, if we were to ignore the lack of evidence here, that would seem like an odd story.
But this really is a short article and doesn’t have anything to support itself.

I have read interesting comments on this story, several of which indicate how people often marry someone who looks like them. I thought that was quite amusing as I have had people ask me if my brother-in-law (hubby’s little brother) was my biological brother because we look similar. Just to relieve any concerns, I know we are not blood-related, lol.

it was on Reuters too. In ALL cased of the article, it says “according to SuchAndSuch” then goes on to state his story as fact.

What a great lesson on how much we can rely on ‘official’ media.

As a side note, it’s odd that the story is a ‘good example’ for the politician’s agenda.

I agree with a lot of the info above. A politician shares a ‘story’ about bla bla bla. Sounds like BS.

And I thought the pic was one of them too, at first. but then again, his pic is the only thing we have.
