If you tell a child at a yougn age the FBI is after them all the time they may grow up paranoid, that woudl be considered child abuse. Maybe somebody should do something about religion.

I’m not sure but I think there’s a finnish artist Markus Copper, who has done roughly the same thing. I think it was some sort of a performance where he cut his hand off. could be I’m wrong, but he still is missing one hand.

he’s definitely worth looking into – very powerful works!

Saw a similar case back in the late 1980′s up in the NC mountains.
The guy was a known schizophrenic who was off his meds. He stepped
into a wood shop at ASU and sawed off his hand using a circular saw,
believing the hand “bore the mark”. He calmly placed the hand in a
drawer and when students found him wandering around with a bloody
stump they retrieved the hand. A microsurgeon at the local hospital re-attached it. Don’t know where beast boy ultimately ended up.

There was a guy on Jerry Springer a while back who cut off his own legs with a circular saw (no I don’t watch regularly; one of those fall-asleep-in-the-recliner-&-wake-to-late-nite-weirdness things). He said his legs didn’t belong there, so he cut them off. He’s also a transvestite. And very, very, very strange.

This guy came in to the hospital last week. His hand looked like it was a hotdog until it shriveled up. I have dealt with him before and I am guessing he was on psych drugs and other things. He’s a real dirt bag.

I used to work disability insurance claims, and this reminds me of one of my psych claimants. He suffered pretty badly from body dismorphia. Basically that’s a condition where you are extremely repulsed by the site of yourself… reflection in a mirror, photos… etc.

This claimant tried to cut his hands off with a handsaw (sorry bout the pun) but after cutting his first off, he quickly realized he had no hand to cut off the second. Needless to say, we paid his claim.

Actually drugs are probably the only way to make that movie watchable.
