Fun New Playground Design

That’s not your grandfather’s old playground – it’s newly designed "wall-holla" playground by Dutch design team Carve, which integrates modern architecture style and good ol’ fun fun to encourage children to play the old fashioned way!

Well, kudos to the design team who dared to rethink a concept as old and "institutional" as a children playground.

Though it does look like a cage, at least the children are outside playing, like kids are supposed to do.

Looks like kids could get the fingers stuck in those fences pretty easily

What happens when a kid falls inside? Does an adult have to climb in and get them or is there and emergency escape route? Whats to stop someone from climbing to the roof of the thing well? Looks like fun, but not well thought out.

homr: i would be the kid that climbed the outside of the cage and sat on top.

i am lucky that i made it to adulthood. o.O

It is great to see a piece of equipment that gives a space for kids to extend themselves. We are all to tied up with if a kid can get hurt....they need to get out and explore their limits. Hopefully we all grew up experimenting, so our kids need to be able to. I woudl love to get out and try it too (38 year old)
