   Jónsi also sings in a language called "Vonlenska", also known as "Hopelandic", which is a constructed language of nonsense syllables which resembles the phonology of the Icelandic language.

    Not Icelandic. Sigur Rós employ an invented language they, rather emetically, call Hopelandic. The one lapse in good taste for a band whose only major flaw could be said to be too much good taste.

    If we had left it alone and let it be naturally re-juvenated by the Natives as they had done, we wouldn't be in this mess.

    Yet we put value on stupid shiny metals like gold and fucked the whole planet basing our values on being blind.
