Blondes Map of Europe

Strange Map blog has this map above, showing the distribution of blondes in Europe (which may or may not be a country, depending on who you ask):

According to this map – and if you really believe that blondes have less brains –a nasty fall like that is more likely to happen in the central parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland, where at least 80% of the population is fair-haired, the highest figure in all of Europe.

This map, indicating the varying degrees of ‘blondness’ in Europe, shows how fair hair gets rarer further away from this core area – towards the south, as one intuitively might presume, but also towards the east, west and even towards the north.

    Blondes may be dumber, but gentlemen prefer blondes. Therefore, a country with many blondes is a happy gentlemen´s country.

    I think that’s interesting, I would have thought in countries like spain there would be more blondes, i.e. hot sun bleaching hair…

    @herminius: it’s the dyed blonde who ruins the image of the natural blonde!

    Okay, but what about the only IMPORTANT question… what’s the world distribution of redheads? ;)

    Although actually, I wonder if they were counted with the blondes. My hair is referred to as blonde about half the time. I would say it’s strawberry blonde. :)

    Every “dumb blond” I’ve ever come across was neither naturally blond nor Northern European.

    BTW blonde comes up as a spelling error so I typed blond.
    -Not a natural blonde, half Asian Indian in fact. LOL

    You mean like in Africa? Oh wait…

    All the Vikings came from the 50-79% zone.
    With this we can conclude that a large blonde population drives the men mad. However, this curve dives when there are more than 80% blondes.

    A black hair color is somewhat unusual where I live, I have blonde hair. This must be accurate.
