My parents live in upstate NY, and have to take truckloads of leaves from our backyard to the compost center every week. I saw your idea for getting fall leaves from New York mailed to you on Netorama.com. However I feel like this idea is counter productive and not environmentally sensitive.

My suggestion is, take the money you are using to buy the cardboard box and the amount it costs to ship the leaves, and plant more trees in New York. Helping to preserve green space in cities so that more people can enjoy more trees seems more appropriate and important than mailling someone a box of leaves. Just a thought.
