He looks like he is a Scottish Fold. they have the ears folded close to the head where the American Curl just has the tops of the ears curling over.

Those ears are awefull. I wonder what they had to do in order to breed those cats and I doubt it was animal-friendly.

The ears require a little extra care, but it’s not a particularly nasty affliction or anything.
To avoid further degradation of the cartilage, Scottish Folds are only bred with Scottish Short-hairs (the same breed, just without the mutation) and you get 50% with the fold and 50% without.

Folded ears don’t seem so bad as compared to the stumpy little legs of the munchkin cats.
