Whilst von Braun was a brilliant engineer & scientist, his own "labor practices" during the War left a bit to be desired. He and the other Operation Paperclip were *really* lucky that the Cold War immediately followed WWII. Were that not the case, he probably would not have enjoyed the coddling he subsequently received.
